What is this?

Bomu is a hyperlocal community platform for the Boscombe-to-Mudeford coastal stretch in Dorset. We're building a searchable local directory, an events noticeboard, and soon - paid microsite hosting for small businesses.

The area we cover

From Boscombe Pier in the west to Mudeford Quay in the east - roughly seven miles of coastline that includes:

  • Boscombe - The pier, the arcade, the surf reef
  • Southbourne - Cafes, beach huts, and the overcliff
  • Tuckton - River views and the famous tea house
  • Wick - Where the river meets the harbour
  • Christchurch - The Priory, the quay, the high street
  • Highcliffe - The castle, the cliffs, the quiet beaches
  • Mudeford - Beach huts, boats, and the sandbank

Why we built it

Too many local businesses rely on word of mouth or a Facebook page that nobody can find. Too many events happen that locals never hear about. Too much good stuff goes unnoticed.

Bomu exists to fix that - to help residents find services they actually need, and help businesses get seen by their actual neighbours.

Who's behind it

Bomu is built by Neves Seven Ltd., a small web studio based right here on the Dorset coast.
